eligibility
The Alaska Coalition for Veterans & Military Families provides financial assistance to eligible clients as determined by income eligibility and case eligibility. Veterans over the age of 60 are exempt from financial eligibility guidelines, however priority is given to those seniors with greatest social or economic need.

Generally, you will be eligible if your income does not exceed 125% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines for Alaska. Case Eligibility
In addition to income eligibility, the approval of an Alaska Veterans Emergency Fund Mini-grant is based on whether there is a conflict of interest. After receiving an application, we review our records to see if there are any conflicts. If a conflict of interest exists, we will contact the applicant as soon as possible to inform them that we cannot provide financial assistance. The Coalition will try to refer the applicant to an agency or organization that might be able to help them.
Another determining factor is our organizational priorities. The Coalition has limited resources and cannot approve all applicants. Our mini-grant approval decisions are guided by priorities established by the Coalition's mission and approved by our governing board.
